Types of Impact Windows

Single Hung

Single-hung windows are the traditional window with a single sash that’s fixed in its place. They are constructed with commercial-grade aluminum frames and stainless-steel fasteners with multiple points of weatherstripping.

Horizontal Roller

Horizontal windows are designed with two and three lite panel configurations with double weatherstripping and flush design. This versatile window has sashes that are positioned side by side, slightly overlapping one another.

Fixed Picture

Fixed windows provide lots of light and expansive views. These non-operational windows have a large frame built to match the siof accompanying operating windows to create a more contemporary look.

Casement

Casement windows are hinged on the right or left-hand side and can be opened by turning the handle. They have a multi-point locking system for enhanced strength and security, as well as an optional washable hinge for easy cleaning.

Architectural

Architectural windows are fixed, non-operational windows that provide maximum amounts of sunlight. They can serve as either standalone or companion windows used in conjunction with Awning or Casement windows for matching sightlines.

Awning

Awning windows are hinged along the top and can be opened by turning a handle. Hurricane awning windows have a multi-point locking system for maximized strength and security. Screens are located on the inside of impact awning windows to protect against outdoor elements.

Moisture Issues

Leaky windows can lead to serious water damage within your home. When excess water accumulates, it can cause hazardous mold and mildew, which points to a major problem.
Professionally installed impact hurricane windows can reduce the risk of water penetration.

Energy Efficiency

If your energy bills are high, it could be due to faulty or decaying window sealing. Installing impact windows can reduce air leaks in the home, thus helping you reduce your energy costs.

Functionality

Older windows tend to break down, making it more difficult to open or close your windows. This can be both dangerous and can cause air leaks that hinder window function.

Benefits of Impact Windows in South Florida

Hurricane Protection

The South Florida hurricane season can be brutal, wreaking havoc on your windows and leaving your home susceptible to water damage. Impact windows withstand the force of hurricanes, strong winds, and flying debris.

Noise Reduction

Like most people, you probably enjoy some peace and quiet at home. Designed to reduce everyday sounds that enter your home, impact windows can help you to keep the peace in a quiet living space.

Energy Savings

Impact windows are tightly sealed to prevent air leaks, meaning that the air from inside your home can’t travel to the outside. This energy-efficient solution reduces energy costs and your carbon footprint.

Insurance Benefits

With hurricane impact windows, you can potentially receive huge savings on insurance premiums and get approved for discounts. You can also increase the value of your home after installation.

Increased Security

Security is a priority that you never want to skimp out on. Protecting your home is essential. Impact windows have strong window materials to protect against burglars attempting to break into your home.
